Welcome to our petting zoo

Our petting zoo is a highlight for children and adults, hands-on-experiences welcome!

The petting zoo has become an essential part of our campsite. Pay a visit to guinea pigs, goats and rabbits. During the winter our animal "campers" take a break.

An article from the regional newspaper:
Goat and sheep local "residents" at the campsite Zaue

Bleating is the new daily routine at the reception at campsite Zaue. But not the campers or the campsite are giving cause to complaint, it is the natural habit of the residents of the new petting zoo.
An enclosure complete with stable and provender storage has been built, with a separate rodent community in the middle. Entering the enclosure and touching the animals is more than welcome, only the feeding of goat, sheep, rabbits and guinea pigs is prohibited.

Contrary to the wild ducks, the quadrupeds are all very good-natured. Heiko Jahn: "We would like to offer something special to our guests, especially to children. But also the elderly like to stop by the petting zoo." The enclosure fits perfectly into the countryside of the campsite. "This is just the beginning, more animals will follow. We have more than enough space."
A blackboard names the sponsors and invites guests to see even more animals on "Rademachers Bauernhof" which generously provided the petting zoo with some of its animals. Heiko Jahn: "Our staff has put much dedication and passion into building this little zoo."
"Rademachers Bauernhof" in Zaue is despite the move of some of their animals still well worth a visit. Alexandra Rademacher enjoys the lively atmosphere: "We have much more to offer and the farm is always a hot spot." She also has some advice on feeding and keeping the new residents: "Goats really eat all day long and still bleat in the evening, just like in a fairy tale. Don't let your feeding schedule be influenced by that."

Sponsors for the animals and names for the new residents of the campsite are very welcome. Unfortunately, the children will not be able to visit the animals in winter, when they are even cuddlier in their thick fur because the petting zoo will be closed then.
